NZ named “the land with it all” in the World travel awards

New Zealand has been named the leading destination and Air New Zealand the top airline in the Oceania section of the World Travel Award (WTA) among the travel industry’s most prestigious acolades.

Air New Zealand retained it’s title as the leading airline in the region for the 16th year in a row.

New Zealand has been awarded Oceania’s leading destination a title it has held for the last 5 out of 6 years. Many of our accommodation offerings were also awarded top awards.

Tourism - update June 2024

To travel to New Zealand you must have a valid passport and in some cases a valid visa.

If a person is travelling to or transiting through New Zealand from a visa waiver country they require a NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority).

This can be requested via the official NZeTA mobile app.

Travellers arriving into all New Zealand international ports must complete an arrival declaration. This declaration can now be completed on line up to 24 hours prior to their departure.

You must declare all risk items that you are carrying in your hand luggage and checked in bags on your arrival declaration. Some items considered a potential risk to New Zealand are : Any food cooked, uncooked, fresh, preserved, packaged or dried. Animal or dairy products including meat, milk, fish, honey, bee products, eggs, feathers, shells, raw wool, skins, bones or insects.
